The ISU has formally released the entry lists for JGP Mexico Cup, the second stop in this year’s Junior Grand Prix series. No pairs event will be contested there, but the U.S. and Canada have each entered two ice dance teams with similar stories. Both American silver medalists Kaitlin Hawayek & Jean-Luc Baker and Canadian junior champs Madeline Edwards & ZhaoKai Pang will seek to build on last year’s international success; Hawayek & Baker captured silver at JGP Chemnitz, while Edwards & Pang won bronze at both JGP Courchevel and JGP Bosphorus Cup. And each couple will be accompanied by a team making their JGP debut: U.S. novice champions Chloe Lewis & Logan Bye and Katie Desveaux & Dmitre Razgulajevs, who finished seventh in junior at this year’s Canadian Figure Skating Championships. The competition is scheduled for Wednesday, September 4, through Saturday, September 7, with ice dance events contested Thursday and Saturday afternoon.
